Jennifer Coomes BA LMT RYT shares the art of healing and self awareness through her teachings as well as client-centered bodywork practices that are infused with an eclectic blend of therapeutic massage, energywork, and movement that have been known to awaken and release freedom and healing in the body and spirit.   As part of connecting with her heart and essence, Jennifer enjoys seeing others tune in and awaken the beauty, laughter, grace, authenticity, and love that resides inside,  setting the foundation for opening flowing pathways  within and with each other. She brings a depth of awareness, honesty, and compassion to her work, highly influenced by her life experience as well as education and self exploration into psychology, meditation, massage and bodywork, dance, and yoga.  Jennifer has been apart of the Adjunct Faculty at Chandler Gilbert Community College since October 2005, where she teaches and writes curriculum for various massage and bodywork modalities. She also shares workshops and teachings in meditation, massage, and yoga throughout the valley. In the Fall of 2008, Jennifer will begin her studies at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, pursuing her longtime vision of becoming a doctor.  When not working, Jennifer loves to take time to enjoy nature, dogs, friends, engaging conversation, laughing, writing, photography, and the arts.

The Groove of this E-Portfolio:

To explore the fascinating worlds of the known and unknowns of BioTechnology with my new BIO 107 class during Spring 2008 with Professor Pushpa Ramakrishna.    It's been a quite a new groove getting back into science classes again, being a student, and engaging on the other side of teaching at CGCC.  I feel like I'm expanding in new ways and having fun being "in college" again, and while my brain cells get reaquainted, I'm learning new tricks too!  So my question is, does BioTech help improve memory and could it help me get an A on the next test? :)

Stay Tuned for the Wonderings and Wanderings of a New BioTech Student!
